Design upgrade of the welding room and auto shop for the Workforce Building. The design included new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, code analysis and installation of argon and CO2 gases, and a site upgrade for process gases.

What We Engineered

MEP/FP and process-gas systems for the welding and auto shop:

• New argon and CO2 process-gas piping with valves and regulators
• New exhaust system with extraction arms to capture exhaust fumes
• Code analysis for process gases and site upgrade
• New mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems

The Challenge

Adding argon and CO2 process gases and capturing welding fumes in a training shop required careful code analysis and effective extraction.

Our Solution

KeRi performed the process-gas code analysis, designed argon and CO2 piping with valves and regulators, added an extraction-arm exhaust system, and provided full MEP/FP and a site upgrade.
