At the height of the global pandemic, KeRi Engineering was entrusted by one of New York City's premier government agencies to provide urgent engineering support for the rapid deployment of COVID-19 testing and vaccination sites at JFK International Airport. Recognized for our deep-rooted expertise in pharmaceutical and healthcare facility design, we immediately mobilized a dedicated team of senior electrical, mechanical, and plumbing engineers to meet the critical timeline.

Leveraging our experience designing high-performance, regulatory-compliant healthcare environments, KeRi successfully delivered multiple modular sites engineered for round-the-clock operation. Each facility was designed to function as a fully self-sufficient unit, equipped with independent HVAC, power distribution, water supply, and waste management systems, mirroring the infrastructure and resiliency of emergency disaster-response centers.

The Challenge

Standing up multiple fully operational public-health facilities at an active international airport on an emergency timeline, with each site required to run continuously and independently of the terminal's base building systems.

Our Solution

KeRi mobilized a senior MEP team that translated urgent public-health needs into buildable design solutions, delivering self-sufficient modular units with their own HVAC, power, water, and waste systems and providing on-site engineering support throughout construction and commissioning, helping accelerate the city's response at JFK.
