KeRi designed the air-conditioning unit upgrade at P.S. 235K, replacing two 20-ton split air handling units with remote condensers and one 10-ton packaged rooftop unit serving the building with new units. The project also replaced the existing metal roofing and built-up roof with new.

What We Engineered

Air-conditioning and roofing upgrade:

• Replacement of two 20-ton split AHUs with remote condensers
• New 10-ton packaged rooftop unit
• New metal roofing and built-up roof

The Challenge

The aging split air handlers and a tired roof had to be replaced together so the new cooling equipment and the new roofing system could be coordinated rather than fought over.

Our Solution

KeRi replaced the split air handlers and added a packaged rooftop unit while the existing metal and built-up roofing was renewed, coordinating equipment supports and roof penetrations with the new roof assembly.
