Generator for Child Care and Art
Designed and specified two optional standby diesel-powered generators to enhance the reliability and resiliency of critical facilities. The project included a 450kW generator for the Arts Building and a 100kW generator for the Child Care Center. A comprehensive load analysis was conducted, encompassing a detailed assessment of the existing electrical infrastructure, including peak and average load profiles, equipment operating characteristics, and diversity factors.
The system design accounted for load prioritization, ensuring seamless operation of essential systems during outages. Generators were engineered to deliver a 36-hour runtime at full load, factoring in fuel consumption rates, thermal efficiency, and fuel storage requirements. The design also incorporated compliance with relevant electrical codes, emissions regulations, and safety standards to ensure optimal performance and environmental stewardship.
