Project Brief

KeRi designed a new addressable fire alarm system for the Community Center occupying the first floor of Building No. 2 at the NYCHA Haber Houses. The system included a new addressable fire alarm control panel and a remote annunciator in the main office, notification devices, addressable smoke and heat detectors in all spaces, and carbon monoxide detectors where required. The project also provided new exit and emergency lighting throughout the Community Center, a survey of the existing fire alarm system, and an interlock of the new panel with a separate new fire alarm system for the standalone boiler room.

The Challenge

The community center on the first floor of a residential building needed complete, code-current fire alarm and life-safety coverage, coordinated with a standalone boiler-room system.

Our Solution

KeRi designed a new addressable fire alarm with control panel and remote annunciator, detectors and notification throughout, carbon monoxide detection where required, new exit and emergency lighting, and an interlock with the boiler-room fire alarm.
